PT. Fircroft Indonesia requires an experienced Tender Manager to enable the company to successfully bid for oil and gas tenders and susequently participate in major contracts. We are ideally looking for an expatriate currently resident in Indonesia but would consider a suitably qualified and experienced local candidate. Based in Jakarta the position is intended as a 6-12 month contract and the successful candidate shall report to the regional manager in Bangkok.
TENDER MANAGER
Roles and Responsibilities
• Evaluate client requirements through thorough analysis of tender pre qualification, technical and commercial phases
• Prepare, submit and follow up bid responses to clients
• Ensure the bids are highly competitive, through detailed assessment of all variables associated with the company’s response
• Prepare responses to and attend clarification meetings with client during the tender negotiation period
• Understand industry competition and position the company accordingly through appropriate bidding terms and conditions
• Work closely and cooperate with joint venture partner companies where required
• Develop and maintain close working relationships with major oil and gas operators in Indonesia
• Assist Country Manager and Regional Manager in developing non-tendered business with clients
• Work closely with bid management team in UK
Qualifications and Key Skill Sets
• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years relevant experience
• Excellent command of English both verbal and written, Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Must have a track record of proposal management and/or successful project management experience within the Oil and Gas industry with good understanding of commercial inssues
• Experience of BP MIgas, manpower, contract recruitment, EPC companies, local and expatriate proposals issues
• Knowledge in bid preparation, bid management and submission
• Sound analytical skills and an excellent team player
• Self starter with good organisational skills and the ability to use initiative to the benefit of the company
